Bánh mì food truck Vina Baguette will bring Vietnamese street food to a brick-and-mortar restaurant space at 4230 N. Oracle Rd. by the end of October.
“The food will be very close to the street food in Vietnam,” said Linh Nguyen, chef and owner of Vina Baguette.
Bánh mì won’t be the only street treat available. The menu will feature items such as pho, bún (rice noodles), spring rolls, and rice dishes.
Additionally, the fast casual vibe will carry on. Customers will order at the counter in a manner inspired by Chipotle Mexican Grill, Nguyen said.
Nguyen’s Arizona roots date back to 1986. He gained food industry experience at Miss Saigon Bar and Grill, then Ha Long Bay.
Vina Baguette opened in 2014, spending most of its time parked at Broadway Boulevard and Cherry Avenue until May 2015.
