While us Tucsonans can only dream of a weekend of free Sonoran hot dogs, Chicago will have the privilege of experiencing it May 5 and May 7 at the Chicago French Market. From 11 a.m. until hot dogs run out on both days, Visit Tucson and El Guero Canelo will host a Sonoran dog pop-up event leading up to El Guero Canelo receiving the James Beard American Classic Award.
Since you probably won’t make it to the Sonoran dog pop-up, you can snag one of the signature dogs from any of El Guero Canelo’s three local locations:
- 5201 S. 12th Ave.
- 2480 N. Oracle Rd.
- 5802 E. 22nd St.
