Northwest Tucson will soon have a place for some good ol’ fashioned honky-tonk.
The folks behind Putney’s Pitstop Sports Bar and Grill announced plans to open Whiskey Roads, a country bar and restaurant.
Located at 2265 W. Ina Rd., the 8,700-square-foot former Macaroni Grill space will also feature a 2,000-square-foot patio.
“The interior look is a mix between old style hacienda and modern country,” said Fernando Gomez, operating partner at Whiskey Roads with Josh Arvizu and Greg Wexler.
Menu options include appetizers such as wings and sliders along with steaks, chicken, salmon, and build-your-own salads.
Prices will range from $12 to $15 for lunch and $12 to $36 for dinner.
“Whiskey selections will vary from the well-known brands like Jack Daniels and Crown Royal to the high-end range like Blue Label or Balvenie,” Gomez said.
Operating hours will be 11 a.m. – 2 a.m. daily. The soft opening is tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 19, while the grand opening is scheduled “with a big name artist” on Friday, August 2.
