UPDATE: US Fries Owner Says He Has No Plans To Close Restaurant

(UPDATE: We’ve posted an update to this information, rendering it obsolete.)

Earlier today we reported that Fourth Avenue’s US Fries confirmed that the restaurant would be closing July 30.

While we stand by the information we originally received via phone call to the restaurant on July 25, as stated in our original article, owner Thomas Jones called to inform us that we had been misinformed.

US Fries has no plans to close.

We sincerely apologize for the error.

@Istanbultucson is expanding to MARANA! The family-run Turkish restaurant is opening a second location, Istanbul Mediterranean Express, at 5660 W. Cortaro Farms Rd., Suite 100. The fast-casual concept will feature about 75% of the original menu, plus two exclusive offerings: build-your-own Kumpir, a Turkish stuffed baked potato, and fresh in-house ground doner. The restaurant is currently working through permits and remodeling, with a grand opening date expected to be announced soon.
