The Blacktop Grill, which would often be parked outside of breweries and taprooms, has opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant at 8300 N. Thornydale Rd., Suite 120.
Before the epic hot dogs moved into the location, along with the Pesto Chicken Sandwiches and baked goods by La Estrella Bakery, the spot previously housed Mama’s Hawaiian Bar-B-Cue.
If you’ve never ordered anything from the food truck, which has been “breaking diets since 2014,” it’s known for serving gigantic, quarter-pound hot dogs and their Elotero Dog totally lives up to the hype.
It’s topped with fire-roasted corn, that’s been tossed in a house-made chipotle lime sauce, queso cotija, and a garlic sriracha spice.
