"Basically turn chicken wings into a curry"

The weather is heating up in Tucson and the same goes for a popular YouTube series.

The newest season of the show “Hot Ones” was recently revealed and so was the lineup of hot sauces. Right in the middle of the mix for season 15 is Tucson company High Desert Sauce Co.

Each season, Hot Ones’ host Sean Evans selects 15 of the hottest sauces he can find so that celebrity guests are lucky enough to feel the pain of the infamous Wings of Death.

When it came to tasting High Desert’s Tikk-Hot Masala, Evans feels it’s a hard-hitter.

“It’s maybe one of the most unique sauces we’ve ever had on the show,” said Evans. “Garam masala spices, whipped coconut milk, and then some fire-roasted tomatoes basically turn chicken wings into a curry with a quick toss. Then that blend of Ghosts and Reaper peppers really should hit guests about halfway through their answer.”

If you’re a fan of Hot Ones, season 15 should be a lot of fun watching celebrities try the local hot sauce. The series kicks off on Thursday, May 27 with its first celebrity contestant — they who have not been named just yet.

Previous guests have included Gorgon Ramsay, Will Ferrell, and Justin Timberlake. While you’re waiting for the new season of Hot Ones to premiere, check out the Afterburner Challenge Jackie Tran endured over at Wings Over Broadway.
