"It has been our pleasure and we will miss serving you."

Over on the east side of town, there’s a bakery that’s been providing loaves to Tucsonans for nearly 40 years, and now it’s time for the original owners to hang up their aprons. On their website, the folks that operate the bakery stated that “after 39 years, the Marini Family and La Baguette Parisienne are retiring.”

La Baguette Parisienne bakery will be temporarily closing its doors at 7851 E. Broadway Blvd. until the new owners take over.

Over on the east side of town, Mario and Francoise Marini opened the bakery 39 years ago and their son, Norm Marini, has been bakin’ up a storm for years now.

“We would like to say ‘thank you’ to all of our wonderful customers and the community for allowing us to share our passion with all of you for the last four decades,” La Baguette Pariesienn stated. “It has been our pleasure and we will miss serving you.”

So, you’ve still got some time if you wanted to stop by, pick up one of your favorite French loaves or fruit turnovers, and give the family a fond farewell. As of right now, the shop is open 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Friday, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, and 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Sunday. Stay tuned for more information about the new ownership of the bakery.

La Baguette Parisienne is located at 7851 E. Broadway Blvd. For more information, visit labaguetteparisienne.com.

Important Info:

We’re talking about the bakery at Broadway and Pantano and this does not involve the midtown French bakery name La Baguette Bakery at 1797 E. Prince Road. Norbert Satta opened up La Baguette Bakery in 1988 and shortly after that his daughter, Coralie Satte, opened Ghini’s French Caffe & Bistro next door.
