We teamed up with Tucson Food Tours to offer a unique, private food tour on Tuesday, March 12.

This walking food tour will introduce you to 13 different tastings curated by four different chefs at La Chingada Cocina, Reilly Pizza, Nook (opening up privately just for us!), and The Monica.

Similar to our R&D dinner series, you’ll meet each chef and learn the inspiration behind each dish. Brad Lawrence, co-owner of Tucson Food Tours, will walk us from spot to spot, sharing historical facts along the way.

First Stop – La Chingada Cocina Mexicana

  • “La Chingada Sampler” featuring one Quesabirria Taco, one Chicken Tinga Mini Chimi, and one Torito (bacon-wrapped yellow pepper stuffed with cheese and shrimp)

Second Stop – Reilly Craft Pizza

  • Brussels Sprouts (sprouts, house hot sauce, sherry vinaigrettepecan brittle crumbs)
  • Rigatoni (vodka sauce, basil, and grana)
  • Roasted Crimini Mushroom Pizza (mozzarella, truffle cheese)

Third Stop – Nook (opening exclusively for us)

  • Half-portion Banh mi Burger (pork belly, jalapeno+scallion, cucumber, nuoc mum, Sriracha mayo)
  • Shakshuka Benedict (crispy chickpea cake, spinach, poached eggs, spiced tomato, hollandaise)

Fourth Stop – The Monica

  • Assorted Dessert Table:
    • Game Changer (plant-based, gluten-free, vanilla cake dessert)
    • Ticket Cake (double chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and a creme sugar center)
    • Tres Leches (surprise recipe)
    • Banana Party (mom’s banana pudding with a vanilla wafer cookie and whipped creme)
    • Tiramisu (orange and clove coffee dipped Mexican Maria cookies and homemade custard)

Tickets to this one-of-a-kind dinner are available to the members of Tucson Foodie Insiders.

To book your spot, Join Insiders. Then go to Events in the Foodie mobile app and tap Tucson Food Tours Progressive Dinner to get your special promo code that unlocks tickets at the special rate of $70 per person.

All ticket revenue goes straight to the restaurants and Tucson Food Tours to cover food costs and their team’s time.

This will be a fun one! I’ll be in attendance. I always love me some Chingada, the Shakshuka Benedict at Nook sounds amazing, the Roasted Crimini Mushroom Pizza is my go-to at Reilly, and the Banana Party at The Monica is pure nostalgia (I know from experience, man).

See you there. Here’s that link to join Insiders to gain access to tickets.
