The summer heat in Tucson tends to lure folks to the Sonoita area for good old-fashioned winery excursions. We know the beauty that’s out there and now USA Today has fallen head over heels for one of the newer wineries out there.

Recently, the publication released its new list of “Top 10 Wine Tasting Rooms You Need To Visit” and Elgin’s Los Milics Vineyards is listed as #2 in the country!

USA Today shared the following about Los Milics:

“For an immersive experience in Arizona wine country, look no further than Los Milics Vineyards. Their Elgin tasting room is flanked by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the vines, and when it’s not too hot, their patio is a great place to sit and stay awhile with the whole family welcome, even dogs. They offer a second tasting room location in Scottsdale.”

In 2014, Pavle and Ita Milic launched their Los Milics wine label, with the help of Kelly and Todd Bostock of Dos Cabezas WineWorks, and mid-last year opened their tasting room to the public.

“Nestled at the foothills of the Mustang Mountains, it’s hard to not immediately fall in love with the vision that the Los Milics team has set forth for themselves,” said Addie Ibarra of Tucson Foodie. “Honestly, even without the stunning property views and tasting spaces, the wine speaks for itself, and it’s saying ‘You’re going to want to take a bottle or six home.'”

Los Milics was the only Arizona winery to make the list, which includes vineyards in Paso Robles, California, Dayton, Oregon, and Walla Walla, Washington.

Last year, the publication released its list of “10 Best New Winery Experiences in the U.S.” and Elgin’s Los Milics Vineyards made it in the top three.

Los Milics Vineyards is located at 423 Upper Elgin Rd. #824, Elgin, AZ. For more information, visit losmilicsvineyards.com.
