Borderlands Brewing North is Now Open on River Road

Over the weekend, Es Teran, owner of Borderlands Brewing Company, and the brew crew welcomed folks into its newest/third location at 5605 E. River Rd.

With pool tables, arcade machines, plenty of seating, and an upstairs view of the city, the team had a successful soft opening up in the Foothills. They’re still ironing out a few of the fixes but they’re looking forward to a Grand Opening in the near future (stay tuned for the actual date).

Meanwhile, the taproom is open daily from 4 – 10 p.m. while the team finishes with renovations.

“We had a brew-tiful time hosting you all for our soft opening at Borderlands Brewing North! Thanks for your patience as we work out the small kinks (think of it as breaking in new beer shoes),” the Borderlands Brewing team shared. “The full liquor menu is pouring in this week, and we’re still on the hunt for cooks to get the kitchen fired up and ready to serve our delicious food.”

So, the new space will have a food menu, which is already equipped with a kitchen because it used to house Harvest Restaurant (the restaurant closed in 2019).

Borderlands has been busy working on expanding its footprint here in Tucson. Earlier this year, the brewery acquired Dillinger Brewing’s property and brands, meaning that they’ll brew and distribute the beers. Then, a couple of years ago, Borderlands opened its second Tucson location in the Sam Hughes neighborhood at 2500 E. Sixth St. Even more recently, their restaurant/cocktail lounge concept, Sonora Moonshine Co., opened in downtown Tucson this past May.

“Good things take time (and a little duct tape). Thanks for rolling with us, and cheers to more fun ahead!”

Borderlands Brewing Company is located at 5605 E. River Rd., 119 E. Toole Ave., and 2500 E. Sixth St. For more information, visit borderlandsbrewing.com or follow Borderland Brewing on Facebook and Instagram
