Just over three months after opening in July, Brooklyn-style sandwich shop and Italian restaurant Brooklyn Rolls quietly closed its doors at 1628 E. Sixth St.
On Monday, September 23, we received multiple inquiries about the Brooklyn Rolls closure with a sign on the door that said, “We gave it a shot. Thanks.”
We called owner Jack Ryan, who said the restaurant wasn’t closed. We told him about the sign and he said he’d call us back.
We followed up via phone Tuesday, October 1 and left a voicemail. In the past week, we also drove by twice during business hours; there was no sign on the door, but the business was closed. As of Tuesday, October 8, we have not heard back from Ryan.
