Leftover cold pizza when you roll out of bed at 2 p.m. doesn’t count as brunch.
However, eggs and bacon on a pizza on a weekend morning does count.
From 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, Zona 78 serves up their brunch menu. While you’ll find expected Eggs Benedict and a giant Cinnamon Roll, don’t sleep on the Breakfast Pizza.
This wood-fired pizza is topped with mozzarella, Yukon potatoes, green bell pepper, bacon, fresh arugula, and three over-easy eggs with a drizzle of Sriracha.
The runny egg yolk is essential to the experience of this pizza. Forget about ranch, yolk is a superior crust dip. Any yolk-hating friends of yours can’t sit with us.
Zona 78 is located at 7301 E. Tanque Verde Rd. and can be reached at (520) 296-7878. For more information, visit zona78.com.
