Irene’s Donuts, formerly named Irene’s Holy Donuts, announced plans to close on Friday morning. Doors will officially close on Sunday, February 23 after 11 months in business.
The Fourth Avenue doughnut shop posted the following notice on their Facebook page:
Good Morning Tucson
Due to circumstances beyond our control we will be closing our Tucson location.
Our last day open will be February 23rd.
Thank you for all your love and support throughout this last year.
The owners could not be reached for comment.
Irene’s Donuts opened in March 2019 at 340 N. Fourth Ave. to much buzz with their malasadas and creative doughnuts. The space previously housed Cans Venue & Lounge, The Crackhouse and US Fries.
