Guide to Mexican Food Delivery in Tucson

Guide to Mexican Food Delivery in Tucson

Apr 1, 20204 min read

With a state order urging Arizona citizens to “stay home” in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, delivery has never been more appealing.

I’ve gone through Grubhub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, and local delivery service Onda Güey to determine which Mexican restaurants are delivering. After all, I need my fix, too.

I’ve left off places like Filibertos, Los Betos, and Nicos. Also, please be aware that not all of the places listed deliver to all parts of town. You’ll definitely need to confirm. If you are planning on leaving the house, which, ahem, goes against state, city, and county recommendations, all of the places listed offer takeout, as well.

There were a number of restaurants listed on Doordash that I wanted to include, such as Taqueria Pico de Gallo and El Antojo Poblano, but after calling, I did confirm they are only offering takeout at this time.

You may want to confirm with any of the restaurants listed if they are still open and even offering Mexican food delivery as things are changing on a daily, if not hourly basis.

Between the pools, hot spring and cold plunge, water slide, yoga, live music, complimentary bike rentals, and their nostalgic “Summer Rewind” experience, there was always something to do. We never left the resort.

The highlight at their on-site restaurant, Epazote Kitchen & Cocktails, was the Pollo Con Rajas - perfectly cooked chicken over a rich creamed poblano, onion, and corn mestizaje. And if you’re at their Sundance Café for breakfast, get the pozole. It’s made from a family recipe that became such a guest favorite it earned a permanent spot on the menu.

Although El Conquistador licenses the Hilton brand, it’s owned and operated by a local company. The culinary team sources much of its meat and produce from Arizona.

Whether you’re planning a weekend getaway or just looking for an incredible dinner with Catalina Mountain views, this spot is worth adding to your list. 🌵🌞
