Seis Kitchen to Open a New Location on Tucson’s East Side

Owners Erika and Jake Muñoz plan to open the new spot by mid to late spring, bringing another dining option to the bustling area. In recent years, restaurants like Zio Peppe and Noodleholics have debuted to diners, while The Cork and UnCork’d Kitchen & Cocktails have refreshed existing concepts.

Maya Tea Company Launches Non-Alcoholic Spirits Line ‘Philters’

In September 2024, Maya Tea Company introduced Philters, a line of non-alcoholic spirits crafted with botanicals, adaptogens, and nootropics. They offer a drinking experience blending flavor, complexity, and depth for people seeking a craft cocktail without the negative consequences of alcohol.

2025 Tucson Craft Beer Crawl

This year, the Tucson Craft Beer Crawl is hosting at least 30 local, regional, national, and international beverage makers. You’ll see some newcomers popping up in February like Slow Body BeerBrick Box Brewery (formerly Thunder Canyon Brewer), and Black Bridge Brewing, which is bringing its beers down from Kingman, Arizona.

José Contreras, chef and owner of @Ameliastucson, is headed to New York City to cook alongside chef Alam Méndez of Washington, D.C.‘s Apapacho Taqueria for a collaborative dinner at the James Beard Foundation’s Platform at Pier 57.

The Aug. 11 dinner will celebrate the culinary traditions of Sonora and Oaxaca through a multi course menu centered on heirloom corn, traditional masa, and coastal flavors. Guests will also enjoy a cocktail reception, Mijenta Tequila pairings, and a Q&A with both chefs. The event begins at 6:30 pm at @Pier57.nyc. Tickets are $210 for dining table seats and $250 for the chef’s counter, and are available now at Jamesbeard.org.
