Maru Plus

Maru Plus on Campbell Avenue grew out of Yoshimatsu, which owner-chef Yoshimi Tashima ran for nearly 20 years before transitioning it into a counter-service format after the pandemic. Neon light signs, plushies wearing strawberry hats, and a massive Godzilla mural that Tashima painted herself decorate the walls, giving the space an energetic, playful character. Maru Plus is a cousin restaurant to Maru Japanese Noodle Shop, so they share many overlapping menu items, but retain some distinctions. The menu spans noodles, rice bowls, sushi, vegetarian dishes, and onigiri, drawing regulars from university students to families to retirees. The Spicy Scallop Shrimp Miso Ramen and Mega Buta Ramen serve as two unique options.
