Banhdicted, which has a northwest side location on Orange Grove Road and a food truck that’s been seen cruisin’ around town and parked at The Nugget, is ready to open its second brick-and-mortar location.
The Grand Opening at 6878 E. Sunrise Dr. #150 is happening from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 17.
Owners Kim and Don Vongtheung are moving into the strip next to Inca’s Peruvian Cuisine, Tuk Tuk Thai, and Blue Ice Gelato. Coincidentally, the space used to be a popular sandwich chain — hit the road, Subway! There’s a new sandwich shop on the block.
Great news BANH FAM! We’re thrilled to announce our Ventana location is officially done with construction and we just aced our health inspection,” the Vongtheungs shared. “Come grab a banh mi and get a free 16-ounce Thai tea with a topping of your choice with every purchase!”
They’ll also be debuting a new banh mi sandwich named the Banh Nam and giving out free Banhdicted t-shirts to the first 20 people.
“Thank you so much Tucson for your continuous support throughout the past four years and making this possible! We can’t wait to see you this weekend!”
Don was born in Laos before moving to the U.S. with his family in the late ’80s. He found a career in the tech industry for nearly 20 years, but one day, a brand-new opportunity in the food business sort of “fell onto his lap.” With the influence and guidance of his partner, Kim, the menu for Banhdicted took shape and has been running ever since.
If you’ve yet to eat anything from Banhdicted, their banh mi sandwiches are the star of the show with options like barbecue pork, catfish, lemongrass beef, and vegan tofu.
Other items on the menu include egg rolls, Banhdicted Wings, and Banhdicted Fries — fries topped with a spicy Sriracha sauce, cucumbers, pickled veggies, jalapeño, and a choice of protein.
Banhdicted has a brick-and-mortar at 1980 W. Orange Grove Rd. #180 and the new spot is at 6878 E. Sunrise Dr. For more information, visit banhdicted.com and follow Banhdicted on Facebook and Instagram.
