Over on the east side of town, lies a little bit of Ireland in the desert. There's plenty of Irish whiskey on hand, tasty brews, a selection of wine, and pool tables to keep the party goin', whether it be with your friends or strangers. They also have a nifty bar food menu like the Guinness Brat, Murphys Reuben, and Irish Nachos — fries smothered in beer cheese, mozzarella, onions, bacon, and jalapeño.

Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's, Kilkenny — you name it. Canyon's Crown has a great selection of Irish staples behind the bar. On St. Patrick's Day, the restaurant serves up corned beef and cabbage. Every other day of the year, there's several Irish and English standards like Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash, and Scotch Eggs.

@Casaveratucson opens Aug. 12 at 7265 N. La Cholla Blvd., bringing regional Mexican cuisine to the former Tamarind space. The 7,000-square-foot restaurant seats 200 guests with a large patio, and the design draws inspiration from a warm, old-world hacienda. The family behind Casa Vera is also known locally for Guadalajara Original Grill.
