Beer ye beer ye!
Arizona Beer Week is brewing strong in its ninth year, and the celebrations — which are hosted by local breweries, craft beer bars, and restaurants — are in full effect. If you were to tell someone that there’s nothing to do during Arizona Beer Week, you’d be spreading fibs because there are more than 200 events across the state this year.

Thursday, Feb. 7
1912 Brewing Company & Amy’s Donuts Pairings

This one’s for those with a sweet tooth.
1912 Brewing will be releasing three new beers, which have yet to be announced, and then pairing their craft beer inventory with what Amy’s Donuts does best — baking up doughnuts full of flavor, color, and artistic appeal. More…
Family-Style dinner featuring Forbes Meat Co. at Ten55 Brewing

This is the first in a series of intimate dinners hosted by executive chef Ivor Cryderman in their downtown location. First up, they’ve collaborated with Ben Forbes of Forbes Meat Company in order to take your taste buds to another level.
Another fun addition to the featured La Ferme Grisette, Sonoran Dunkelweiss, and Belgian IPA, Ten55 Brewing will be cracking open a special bottle or two from their cellars. More…

Crooked Tooth Brewing Company tap takeover at Hotel McCoy

It’s hard to tell what Crooked Tooth is brewing, packing up, and tapping for the event, but you can bet there are going to be at least one or two sour beers behind the bar.
If you’ve never been to the brewery, some of their flagship beers include the 18 Hour IPA — an east meets west hazy-style IPA — and the Crooked Light American Light Ale, which has a crisp, straw -like flavor. More…

19th Annual Arizona Strong Beer Festival in Phoenix
This one’s out of town, but it’s still worth mentioning because it’s going to be massive with more than 130 participating breweries.

The “Ciao Charlie Ciao” dinner was created to honor of Charlie Papazian, who is the founder of the Brewers Association and has decided to retire after 40 years of hard work in the beer community.

Get Steppin’ & Sippin’ Downtown at the Tucson Craft Beer Crawl

The adventure allows you to explore new areas of downtown, new beer, and perhaps favorite beer you’ve already tried in locations you’ve already seen. Either way, it’s a fun experience getting out there and seeing what Tucson has to offer.
At least ten venues and 25 participating brewers are confirmed so far but more are expected to join as we creep closer to the event. More…

More about MattAt a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.
He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.
