BirdieVee Coffee has opened inside the lobby of the 5151 E. Broadway Tower.
Co-owners Shannon Fina and Vanessa Rodriguez launched the concept after years apart in separate careers. The longtime friends attended Sahuaro High School before reconnecting to open the café.
“Vanessa and I are excited to welcome everyone into our cozy little hub — a happy spot in the heart of the 5151 Tower lobby,” Fina said in a press release. “We can’t wait to serve our delicious coffees, quick bites, and all the sweet and savory treats we dream up to make your day a little brighter.”
A neighborhood coffee hub
Now, BirdieVee Coffee offers beverages and quick bites for morning and midday visits. Guests can expect signature coffees, cold brew, tea, and smoothies. The menu also features dirty sodas, pastries, bagels, fresh-baked cookies, popcorn, and candy.
Additionally, the shop sources coffee beans from Tucson-based Yellow Brick Coffee. Baked goods come from Desert in Bloom Bakes in Sahuarita.
Part of a larger milestone
The opening aligns with the 5151 Tower’s 50th anniversary. Kent Circle Partners marked the milestone with a $5,151 donation to the Tucson Jazz Institute. The organization has supported student scholarships and opportunities for more than a decade.
BirdieVee Coffee sits inside the lobby at 5151 E. Broadway Blvd. The shop operates from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Customers can access dedicated parking on the south-facing parking deck. For more information, visit birdieveecoffee.com.
