The popular Oregon-based coffee spot, Black Rock Coffee Bar, is opening its very first Tucson location at 1821 E. Broadway Blvd.
The boutique coffee chain, which is known for its premium roasted coffees, teas, smoothies, and other drinks, is taking over a spot certain folks visited frequently — the corner of Broadway and Campbell where Starbucks used to be.
“We are incredibly excited to bring our first Black Rock Coffee Bar to Tucson,” said Jeff Hernandez, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Black Rock Coffee Bar. “Arizona holds a special place in our hearts and we look forward to sharing our culture with the Tucson community. We are also happy to be in the vicinity of the University of Arizona, which is amazing.”
The 1,600 square-foot spot, which is located less than a mile from the University of Arizona, is aiming to open its doors on Friday, October 15.
The opening of the new location makes for 20 Arizona locations and now more than 90 coffee joints in six other states. The Tucson Black Rock Coffee Bar will come equipped with a drive-thru and incorporates the company’s well-known industrial modern design.
They’ve even got a garage door that can be opened or closed depending on the weather.
