GHOST BAR: SPOOKY SPIRITS AT TRAIL DUST TOWN

Friday, July 21 – Saturday, July 22
6541 E. Tanque Verde Rd.

On Friday and Saturday from 8 – 11 p.m., Mamma Coal will be playing country tunes for both the living and the dead. Sunday from 7 – 10 p.m., a cello quartet will play classical music — a perfect way to end the haunted weekend.

Tickets are $45 per person and include entry to the decorated Savoy Opera House, two spooky cocktails, individual charcuterie snacks, live music, and all other activities. Keep in mind that this is a 21-and-over event and you’ll want to buy your tickets sooner than later on Eventbrite.

Bistro at the J is an all-ages, kosher community dining experience with games for family fun, good conversation, and of course, great food! JULY SIPPING SESSIONS AT TAP & BOTTLE DOWNTOWN

Friday, July 21 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

The taproom on the north side of town is hosting a Siembra Valles Tequila Tasting session. It includes three one-ounce pours of Fortaleza Blanco, Siembra Valles Ancestral, and Chacolo Azul Telcruz. Tickets are available in-store or online for $30 per person.

Casa Video and Film Bar has a big birthday party planned for Friday, July 21, at 7 p.m.

Actually, the team has been celebrating all year and, most recently, this month, but the big shebang on July 21 will include ’80s movies beginning at 10 a.m., the classic film “Can’t Buy Me Love” starts at 7 p.m. (it was filmed in Tucson), and the food truck CowPig will be making its first appearance in the Casa parking lot starting at 6 p.m.

They’re also currently selling limited-time 40th anniversary merch so be sure to grab a piece before it’s all gone.

José Contreras, chef and owner of @Ameliastucson, is headed to New York City to cook alongside chef Alam Méndez of Washington, D.C.‘s Apapacho Taqueria for a collaborative dinner at the James Beard Foundation’s Platform at Pier 57.

The Aug. 11 dinner will celebrate the culinary traditions of Sonora and Oaxaca through a multi course menu centered on heirloom corn, traditional masa, and coastal flavors.
