‍Tucson Foodie and Death Free Foodie are teaming up to bring you the city’s first-ever Vegan Tucson Restaurant Week, a week-long celebration of Tucson's vibrant vegan dining scene. From Sunday, December 1 to Saturday, December 7, participating restaurants will offer exclusive vegan dishes or pre-fixe menus, making this the perfect time to explore Tucson's best plant-based cuisine. Whether you're vegan, plant-curious, or just a foodie looking to try something new, this event is for everyone who loves great food and supporting local restaurants!

About the restaurant:  The Coronet Cafe focuses on fresh vibrant food that looks to local and always has sustainable ingredients. Plus, this is one of the best patios in town — plenty of shade and greenery to absorb.

  • Vegan Mixto -  a sampler of our house-made vegan favorites; creamy pineapple guacamole, crispy golden tostones, yuca frita, and lightly seasoned plantain chips. Paired with zesty vegan dipping sauces
Main Course
  • Vegan Picadillo - seasoned ground vegan beef slow-cooked with olives and bell peppers served with white rice, black beans and maduros
Dessert
  • Plantain Paradise - vegan plantain bread infused with the natural sweetness of ripe maduros, baked to perfection. Topped with a cloud of silky coconut whipped cream and garnished with caramelized maduros

The family-run Turkish restaurant is opening a second location, Istanbul Mediterranean Express, at 5660 W. Cortaro Farms Rd., Suite 100.

The fast-casual concept will feature about 75% of the original menu, plus two exclusive offerings: build-your-own Kumpir, a Turkish stuffed baked potato, and fresh in-house ground doner. The restaurant is currently working through permits and remodeling, with a grand opening date expected to be announced soon.
